Summer Solstice Club- Rockpool

Summer Solstice Club is back after taking a season off to refresh and rest. This year’s Solstice/ Equinox clubs will have a distinct sea theme every quarter.

The concept for this quarter will be “Rockpool”.

Over the early months of this year I had been walking around and taking in the epic seascapes of the North Antrim Coastline here in Northern Ireland. I really got a feeling of freshness, newness and hopefulness from it.

I felt that “rockpool” would be a great starting point as the word conjures up memories of pottering around rockpools, looking for crabs or other wee beasties in the heat of the long summer days. It’s at this point in the year that the sea has become enticing again, inviting me to go for a swim.

So this club is a wee invitation to open ourselves up to pottering, exploring, looking and refreshing ourselves in the vast expanse that is the sea.

Here are the particulars- this box will include:

- A naturally dyed mini skein set of Natural Sock (6 x 20g mini’s)

- A naturally dyed full skein of Natural Sock (100g)

- A set of two progress keepers by local Fermanagh polymer clay artist Cast & Clay

- An A5 art print made me me. Taken on an analogue medium format camera and digitally printed.
