A few finished objects.
I think this journal will be the perfect place to record knitting projects that I finish. I rarely record what I’m making, and I have a hard time knowing how much/ what I have made in recent years. So this will be a catalogue of trials, failures and successes with regard to knitting. I didn’t record anything for January 2021 on here as I was still creating the website, but here we have my finished objects and the info about them.
Riddari Sweater by Vedis Jonsdottir
First up was the Riddari by Vedis Jonsdottir- a beautiful (but easy) colour work sweater I first encountered while in Iceland on holidays. I walked into the Handknitter’s Association in Reykjavik and someone promptly measured me up and helped me pick yarn and a pattern. This was the third one I’ve knitted (and love knitting this pattern even after three times!), and I knitted the exact same sweater for my Granny in the same colours (photo pre- covid). Now we are twins! I hope to get a photo of us together in our sweaters in the future!

3x1 Rib Cuthbert Socks
Secondly, I finished some 3x1 rib socks with a dutch heel in Cuthbert Sock by Whistlebare. It is a no nylon, non-superwash, Mohair/ Wensleydale yarn with a high twist for socks. No pattern was used for this, but I used the heel from the Rita socks pattern by Danielle Jorge.
Bachlog Mittens by LB Handknits
Thirdly, is my Bachlog Mittens by LB Handknits. I used and tested out some Spotted Dutch limited edition yarn for this project, which will be launched next month (March) in my shop. The pattern is written for DK- Aran weight so the limited edition yarn I used for this was a bit on the thick side at 130m/100g, but I sized down a needle size to make it work.
That’s all for recent- ish FO’s, but if you’d like to catch up with my works in progress you can tune into you Youtube Channel.
